SURPRISE!

Yesterday was such a great day! Ben and Abby surprised me at work and took me out to lunch, made me dinner, bought me flowers, did all my errands AND did the laundry.... what a nice surprise. Ben told me he was going to work, and come to find out he got dressed for work and put shorts and a t-shirt on under neither his work clothes. He went up to the car wash to wash his car and change while I was still getting Abby and I ready. I was in my bosses office trying to tell my boss I was going to lunch and she kept talking and talking to me, I now know she was trying to waste some time until Ben got there. Ben had this scheme all worked out, he even called my boss to see what time I take lunch! Ab's even had a surprise too. He went to Ms. Brenda's to pick her up around 12:30 and all Abby did was stare at him when he got there..... I guess she was in shock too!!!! Around 1:30, Ben and Abby came in my bosses office and my boss started laughing. I was in pure shock. I couldn't understand what was going on. Ben took Abby and I to The Italian Market and Cold Stone.... then I had to go back to work. When I got home last night, he had my flowers on the table, all the laundry done, Abby was eating and dinner waiting to be served to me. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO END MY DAY!!!!! I just love my family!

good morning!

Well, I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd try to post something on here. Figures, I get to sleep in today, and I am up super early! Nothing much is new in the Roberts household. Abby's new thing now is, she is waving to EVERYONE and ANYTHING! It is so cute when she waves because it looks like she is waxing a car! The cutest is when she waves to the planes! We went to Dorsey Rd. and watched the planes land and take off. Each time a plane flew by, she would wave and get all excited... it was cute! Abby is constantly getting in to things now, so we really need to keep an eye on her. She is climbing the steps now without anyone around. Ben and I are so afraid that she is going to fall one of these days! When we tell her "No!" she just looks at us and continues doing it. I guess the only solution is to get a gate at the bottom of the steps too! Hopefully I will be able to get some pictures posted soon of her waving. Have a good day!
Here is a picture of Abby doing, "SO BIG!!"

what a weeeknd!

We are very sad to see this weekend end! It has been such a fun weekend that started Thursday night when Jen and Dave flew in from Cleveland. Friday we went to Baltimore to pick up Ben and Dave's race packets to run the 5K in the Baltimore Running Festival. After we went to Baltimore, Jen and I of course had to go shopping. We ended up going over the Bay Bridge to the outlets. After shopping for 3 hours, we went to dinner a Harris Crab House. It was so beautiful there on the water seeing the sun set! Saturday, my awesome husband RAN HIS FIRST 5K with his friend Dave!!! Abby and I are just so proud of him!!!! It was a neat experience seeing about 15,000 people run the Baltimore Marathon and about 3,000 people run the 5K! Seeing Ben run this race really inspired me to want to do one! I told Ben that I am going to try my best to watch what I eat and be a little more "athletic". After the race, we decided to walk around Patapsco State park and enjoyed the "fall" weather! Sunday, we drove to Virgina to visit some friends of Jen and Dave's, Mike, Natalie and Mariella. On our drive back, we took a scenic ride through DC and stopped and took some pictures at a scenic overlook of the Potomac River. Abby is now sad because she lost her company in the back seat (Jen was her lil buddy in the back seat!).

More pictures of Abby

Abby is such a good little girl. She is now starting to get into everything and climb the stairs. She really enjoys being outside and crawling over to the windows and looking out them! She is definitely mommy AND daddy's girl!

Abby's pumpkin pickin

On Sunday we had a very fun day as a family! We went to Gary's Garden in Severna Park and picked out a few pumpkins and two mums for the porch. Abby was so good and had alot of fun with all the fall decorations, mums, pumpkins and being outside. She lasted about 30 minutes getting pictures taken and when we were done picking out our pumpkins and mums, she was glad to get in the car and go to sleep. Of course Pop Pop, Grandma and Uncle Kenny had a fun time snapping shots of Abby too!

Hard day...

Well today has been difficult for me. I have been away from Abby for 14 hours! I had to work today and Ben took Abby to a corn maze in Lancaster, PA with our church. I did get to see Abby for about 5 minutes this morning before I left for work and also... Ben forgot his wallet so he had to stop by work. Of course I couldn't let him come to my work without showing her off for a few minutes. Ben and Abby were supposed to leave at 9:30am and be home by 8:00-8:30pm and they are still not home and it is 10:00pm!!!!! I know when she gets home though she will be sound asleep though. I did have a semi good day at work..not too many problems. After work I spent the afternoon with my parents and Kenny. We went to Annapolis Mall and of course I had to buy Abby, her new baby cousin Baby Cometa arriving in Feb 2009 and her friend Kyle a lil onsie that says, "Apple of mommy's eyes" SOOOO CUTE!
Well I guess I better get going. I am sure my hubby and baby will be home soon. I hope Ben took pictures of Abby at the corn maze and I will post some pictures too!

New to this

Ok, all of my friends are blogging so I guess it is time for Abby's mom to start blogging too! I am off today (because I have to work Saturday) so I am able to do this, but I can't guarantee that I will be able to keep this up to date!

Well tomorrow will be my baby girls 10 month old birthday.. my how time flies. We are trying to plan her birthday party, but it seems like the list keeps getting longer and longer. I want all of our friends and family to be there, but I know that isn't going to be possible.

Today I think Abby and I are going to take Uncle Kenny out to lunch and then go to the store to get a few things. Abby and I made pot roast this morning for dinner tonight. It has been a while since we have had a nice home cooked meal. I admit, I have cooked very many big dinners lately because it is so difficult! When I get home from work all I want to do is play with Abby. Ben and I take turns cooking meals. His meals seem to always be so good and mine are bland. Abby is taking a nap now so I guess I better go to get her stuff all ready. And I guess I also need to start laundry!
