Birthday pictures

Ok, as I am sure you all know I really don't have much time to be posting things on here. I tried to pick some her the best pictures that I had of her 1st birthday celebration. Abby had 3 "cake smashings", one at Aunt Kristi's, one at Chuck E Cheese's and the grand finale at her BIG PARTY (I still need to post those pictures)!!!

Quick Birthday Girl Update!!!!

Well, our baby is officially 1 year old! I do not know where the time went. This past year has honestly flown by!!! When people say, "Enjoy every moment with them because it goes by fast" they really do mean it! Ben and I have had such a wonderful year and we had so much to be thankful for! All I could do pretty much all day yesterday is "try" to imagine how a little 7 lb. 7 oz. girl that couldn't do ANYTHING on her own a year ago is now walking, talking, getting in to everything and just being her own little person!
Ok, enough mushy stuff..... we went to get pictures taken yesterday and they were wonderful! Abby is such a ham; from the time we put her down she was laughing and smiling, but by the end of the photo shoot, she was sucking her thumb and holding on to "baby". We were at The Picture People for over 2 hours and we were all getting cranky and hungry! After we grabbed a quick bite to eat a Chick Fil A we had to run to the doctors for Abby's 12 month well visit..... I know you are all thinking, what a mean mommy I am making Abby get shots on her birthday!!!! Abby had to get 3 shots and she screamed and cried! Normally she is ok when the doctor looks at her, but she wasn't a happy camper this time! I think ti also had to do with she was soooo terribly tired! Abby stats are: 29 1/2 inches long, and 19.9 lbs. (yeah I think KYLE, Abby's 6 month old friend has her beat). After the doctors visit Abby and daddy took a nice long nap. When everyone was refreshed, we headed to Chuck E Cheese! Wow, talk about bringing back memories, it looks totally different now. Anyway, Abby had a blast. She waves to all the characters and even got her picture taken with Chuck E. She rode a few rides, but we mostly went there for the fun atmosphere and PIZZA! What a great day we had!!!!!
Ugghh, now I have to get ready for work!
I promise pictures will be coming soon on here!!!!!

good morning

I don't have too much time, so this will be a quick post. Ok, a few new things about Abby... she is finally ROSEOLA free!!!!!! YEAH, no more rash and she is her normal self! She is now taking about 7-8 steps alone, loves to walk around holding someones hand, she says, "bebe" for her baby, she is signing "eat", "more", "milk" and "all gone".
We have Abby's swimming class tonight. We are looking forward to that, since we had to miss it last week. Have a good day!

More pictures

Since I haven't posted in such a long time, I have a lot of catching up to do. Abby is taking her morning nap so I thought I'd try to post some more pictures.

Abby just loves this baby! Ben and I say it is the ugliest baby we have ever seen. I think Abby knows it is funny looking too because whenever she grabs it she laughs at the baby!

Abby playing "Hide and Seek".... gee, where could she be?

As Ella says.... at "Bald Headed" Grandpa's house playing on the pool table!

Playing on Maw maw's chair... this chair has been around for a long time! Ben use to play in it when he was younger too!

Playing at Maw maw and Pop paw's house in a box. Doesn't take much to amuse Abby!

Abby sitting in her own seat on the plane. We were very lucky that the back of the plane was empty. Abby had so much fun flirting with the gay flight attendant!

Abby with her cousins.. Lyla (9 months old) and Ella (3 1/2 years old)

Abby just loves watching everything. We were at the Blair family Christmas with about 30 other people and Abby was so amazed at all the action!

Our precious little butterfly! Abby was sitting in front of our neighbors house! Next year we will have to go all out and decorate like this!

our baby girl!

So, Abby is doing much better, but Ben and I think she has a viral infection called Roseola. We are not 100% sure, but we are treating it like that. She has several little bumps on her body and when she cries or gets worked up they really come out. We are keeping her quarantined for a few days just in case it is contagious. The nurse at our doctors office said it is contagious, but in What to Expect The First Year and on WebMD, it said it isn't contagious.
Well I better get back up stairs to attend to her.
have fun looking at some new pictures of her!

Abby sitting outside of the house on Halloween

Abby loves to turn the pages in her books. Here she is reading a Baby Einstein book

Abby and I are taking Mommy and Me swim classes. Here she is kicking... I have to say, "kick, kick, kick" to her when we do this!

A few weeks ago we went to Columbia Mall to see the Sugar Beats perform..... I was really really let down. I thought it was an actual group that sung 80's songs. Come to find out it was a bunch of lil kids and a man playing a guitar while the kids sang.

long time, no post!

I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to post something. These last few weeks have been non stop for us. We had a great Halloween with our little butterfly! Abby had her Halloween outfit on during the day and was a little butterfly at night! She was so happy going to our neighbors houses getting candy! Mommy and daddy didn't want her having candy, but people still gave it to her. She had fun putting it in her mouth with the wrappers still on. Abby also had tons of fun seeing all the kids dressed up. She wasn't too happy giving the candy out to the children; she wanted to keep all of it for herself to chew on of course!
Today I am home with a sick baby! Last night she had a temperature of 103.6 and was awake several times throughout the night. I gave her Tylenol, but still took her to the doctors just to make sure everything is fine. Dr. Riley didn't see anything wrong with her, we just need to keep an eye on her to make sure her temperature doesn't go up. The nurse did weigh her and our lil baby now weighs 19.9 lbs and is 11 months and 10 days old!!!!!! I hate seeing Abby sick, but it was such a wonderful feeling how all she wanted to do was cuddle with her mommy and daddy! I LOVE MY LIL FAMILY SO MUCH!!!!!!
Ok, I knwo a few thigns about computers but I have tried for 2 days nwo to download the pictures on the camera and jsut can't figure it out. I promise I will get some updated pictures posted!!!

SURPRISE!

Yesterday was such a great day! Ben and Abby surprised me at work and took me out to lunch, made me dinner, bought me flowers, did all my errands AND did the laundry.... what a nice surprise. Ben told me he was going to work, and come to find out he got dressed for work and put shorts and a t-shirt on under neither his work clothes. He went up to the car wash to wash his car and change while I was still getting Abby and I ready. I was in my bosses office trying to tell my boss I was going to lunch and she kept talking and talking to me, I now know she was trying to waste some time until Ben got there. Ben had this scheme all worked out, he even called my boss to see what time I take lunch! Ab's even had a surprise too. He went to Ms. Brenda's to pick her up around 12:30 and all Abby did was stare at him when he got there..... I guess she was in shock too!!!! Around 1:30, Ben and Abby came in my bosses office and my boss started laughing. I was in pure shock. I couldn't understand what was going on. Ben took Abby and I to The Italian Market and Cold Stone.... then I had to go back to work. When I got home last night, he had my flowers on the table, all the laundry done, Abby was eating and dinner waiting to be served to me. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO END MY DAY!!!!! I just love my family!

good morning!

Well, I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd try to post something on here. Figures, I get to sleep in today, and I am up super early! Nothing much is new in the Roberts household. Abby's new thing now is, she is waving to EVERYONE and ANYTHING! It is so cute when she waves because it looks like she is waxing a car! The cutest is when she waves to the planes! We went to Dorsey Rd. and watched the planes land and take off. Each time a plane flew by, she would wave and get all excited... it was cute! Abby is constantly getting in to things now, so we really need to keep an eye on her. She is climbing the steps now without anyone around. Ben and I are so afraid that she is going to fall one of these days! When we tell her "No!" she just looks at us and continues doing it. I guess the only solution is to get a gate at the bottom of the steps too! Hopefully I will be able to get some pictures posted soon of her waving. Have a good day!
Here is a picture of Abby doing, "SO BIG!!"

what a weeeknd!

We are very sad to see this weekend end! It has been such a fun weekend that started Thursday night when Jen and Dave flew in from Cleveland. Friday we went to Baltimore to pick up Ben and Dave's race packets to run the 5K in the Baltimore Running Festival. After we went to Baltimore, Jen and I of course had to go shopping. We ended up going over the Bay Bridge to the outlets. After shopping for 3 hours, we went to dinner a Harris Crab House. It was so beautiful there on the water seeing the sun set! Saturday, my awesome husband RAN HIS FIRST 5K with his friend Dave!!! Abby and I are just so proud of him!!!! It was a neat experience seeing about 15,000 people run the Baltimore Marathon and about 3,000 people run the 5K! Seeing Ben run this race really inspired me to want to do one! I told Ben that I am going to try my best to watch what I eat and be a little more "athletic". After the race, we decided to walk around Patapsco State park and enjoyed the "fall" weather! Sunday, we drove to Virgina to visit some friends of Jen and Dave's, Mike, Natalie and Mariella. On our drive back, we took a scenic ride through DC and stopped and took some pictures at a scenic overlook of the Potomac River. Abby is now sad because she lost her company in the back seat (Jen was her lil buddy in the back seat!).

More pictures of Abby

Abby is such a good little girl. She is now starting to get into everything and climb the stairs. She really enjoys being outside and crawling over to the windows and looking out them! She is definitely mommy AND daddy's girl!

Abby's pumpkin pickin

On Sunday we had a very fun day as a family! We went to Gary's Garden in Severna Park and picked out a few pumpkins and two mums for the porch. Abby was so good and had alot of fun with all the fall decorations, mums, pumpkins and being outside. She lasted about 30 minutes getting pictures taken and when we were done picking out our pumpkins and mums, she was glad to get in the car and go to sleep. Of course Pop Pop, Grandma and Uncle Kenny had a fun time snapping shots of Abby too!

Hard day...

Well today has been difficult for me. I have been away from Abby for 14 hours! I had to work today and Ben took Abby to a corn maze in Lancaster, PA with our church. I did get to see Abby for about 5 minutes this morning before I left for work and also... Ben forgot his wallet so he had to stop by work. Of course I couldn't let him come to my work without showing her off for a few minutes. Ben and Abby were supposed to leave at 9:30am and be home by 8:00-8:30pm and they are still not home and it is 10:00pm!!!!! I know when she gets home though she will be sound asleep though. I did have a semi good day at work..not too many problems. After work I spent the afternoon with my parents and Kenny. We went to Annapolis Mall and of course I had to buy Abby, her new baby cousin Baby Cometa arriving in Feb 2009 and her friend Kyle a lil onsie that says, "Apple of mommy's eyes" SOOOO CUTE!
Well I guess I better get going. I am sure my hubby and baby will be home soon. I hope Ben took pictures of Abby at the corn maze and I will post some pictures too!

New to this

Ok, all of my friends are blogging so I guess it is time for Abby's mom to start blogging too! I am off today (because I have to work Saturday) so I am able to do this, but I can't guarantee that I will be able to keep this up to date!

Well tomorrow will be my baby girls 10 month old birthday.. my how time flies. We are trying to plan her birthday party, but it seems like the list keeps getting longer and longer. I want all of our friends and family to be there, but I know that isn't going to be possible.

Today I think Abby and I are going to take Uncle Kenny out to lunch and then go to the store to get a few things. Abby and I made pot roast this morning for dinner tonight. It has been a while since we have had a nice home cooked meal. I admit, I have cooked very many big dinners lately because it is so difficult! When I get home from work all I want to do is play with Abby. Ben and I take turns cooking meals. His meals seem to always be so good and mine are bland. Abby is taking a nap now so I guess I better go to get her stuff all ready. And I guess I also need to start laundry!
